Designed by Milan-based firm Deep Design, this sleek, compact machine blends the brand's inimitable retro style with modern technology. The machine can handle all the stages of the coffee-making process from grinding beans to the tamping of a puck and texturing milk to dispensing the right volume.
The machine also has a stylish brushed aluminium front and is available in black, red or taupe, meaning it's easy to integrate into most kitchen designs. There are some flaws, however: most users found it to be a bit expensive for a bean-to-cup maker. cup maker (and it doesn't come with an milk pitcher).
However, there were many glowing reviews about the quality of the coffee and the ease of use of this machine. The digital display provides information and step-bystep instructions throughout the entire brewing process which will allow you to make your drink perfect every time. The machine even allows you to adjust the size of the grind, in case that's not what you would like to do. It's almost like having a personal barista in your own home (minus Harry Potter's invisibility cloak and Elon Musk's rocket-building skills).
If you like milky drinks this model comes with a steam wand that's adjustable upwards and downwards to fit most drinking vessels short of the drinking horn of Vikings. We were awestruck by the speed and efficiency of the frothing process as well. It also produces a delicious espresso, with a fantastic crema and full-bodied flavor despite its small size.
The BCC02 is a fantastic all-rounder. It's quiet and efficient, and it offers great value for money at the current price of PS499. The only issue is that it doesn't offer the same level customisation as other bean-to-cup machines we have tested. It has a pump that is 15 bars rather than the usual 19 bars. 2. Melitta Barista TS Smart
The Barista TS Smart has a range of features that differentiate it from other models. The most distinctive feature could be that it can now be controlled by your smartphone with the Melitta Connect App. This lets you change the settings and dispense various coffee recipes stored in the machine.
This makes the machine adaptable and flexible to your personal preferences. There are plenty of options for varying the intensity of your drinks as well as various sizes of cups and whether or not you want to add milk. The machine comes with two airtight containers of beans that are automatically selected to match different types of drinks. It defaults to standard espresso beans in one and cafe crem (a German variation of long black or flat white) in the other however, you are able to select whatever beans you like.
